Kick-Off Meeting

The Kick- Off meeting of our Erasmus Project "Young Entrepreneurs in Aquaponics, High Five!"in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. From Turkey the project idea owners and one of the most contributors of the project Taner TEMİZER and Abdülkerim YİĞİT, from Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Gevaş Vocational School Faculty Member Dr. Numan BİLDİRİCİ and as a coordinator institution from Van Governorate; Deputy Governor Sinan ASLAN and the project expert Hatice SUBAŞI participated.The meeting started with opening speeches of Deputy Governor Sinan ASLAN. Then by Marwa Mechlaoui who works at Landing Aquaculture as an agriculture engineer,
the presentation about introduction to aquaponic systems ,its advantages disadvantages in relation to current technologies,state of the industry and its contribution to young employment was made.After the presentation, the owner of Landing Aquaculture, Carlos Espinal, pointed out the importance of aquaculture as a business in his presentation.By under the guidance of Taner TEMİZER there was a brainstorming about project administration assessing the risks and challenges about project.Abdülkerim YİĞİT gave some important suggestions about the budget control and time management. Presentation about the climate conditions of Van City and Van geographical location and climate analysis was made by Dr. Numan BİLDİRİCİ.The presentation about aquaponic systems in Slovenia was made by Barbara Turk. Lastly the Hydroponic instalments in Greece presentation was made by Alexandra Cheimona.
